William Lester Stevens (American, 1888-1969), "Blacklock House, Charleston, South Carolina", watercolor on paper, signed lower right, sight 19 1/4 in. x 25 in., framed Note: The William Blacklock House is located at 18 Bull Street in the historic district of Charleston. Built in 1800, the house is considered one of the most important examples of Adamsesque design in the United States. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973, the house is presently owned by the College of Charleston.
