William Woodward (American/New Orleans, 1859-1939), "Yellowstone Falls", oil on canvas affixed to board, initialed and dated "'25" lower right, titled and signed en verso, 13 in. x 18.75in. E2500/3500 Note: William Woodward is primarily known for his impressionist paintings of the French Quarter and gulf coast of Mississippi. Woodward also painted scenic landscapes when he traveled to Canada, Hawaii and throughout the American West. In this painting he captures the splendor of the well-known Yellowstone Falls in the Grand Canyon.
