Sauerwein, Germany, c. 1910, deep circular bowl mounted with cast lion mask drop ring handles; body inset with 30 silver coins from the various states of the German Empire, surrounded by repousse chased laurel branches and berries which also frame repousse chased "armorial"; reticulated cast grapevine band applied on upper rim; raised on cast paw feet; fitted with a removable brass finished copper liner having drop ring handles, height 9 7/8 in., width 12 7/8 in., depth 10 3/4 in., weight 94.55 troy ozs.
