World War I An interesting German soldier's diary from 1918, reputedly found by an American soldier in a German trench once captured by the American troops, including seven fully inscribed pages dated from June 23, 1918 to August 15, 1918, the first entry titled "Fur Ehre und Vaterland" (For the Pride of the Homeland), the fourth titled "Das ist Gerechtigkeit!" (This is Justice), including the blotting paper used by the soldier, the wax cover paper inscribed.
