Description:

Zuber Wallpaper, "Revue Militaire a West Point" and "Le Port de Boston" (Les Vues de l'Amerique du Nord), five and a half of the sixteen sheets, sheet 11, 12, 13 (in two parts), 14, 15 and part of sheet 16, by Jean-Julien Deltil (1791-1863), published by Zuber, Rixheim (Alsace), panoramic papier peinte printed in colours, overall: 68 in. x 97.5in., mounted on two panels. E1500-2000 Provenance: High Museum, Atlanta, GA. Note: "Les Vues de l'Amerique du Nord" was printed in 1834 and depicted 32 scenes of the American landscape. Jacqueline Kennedy had the wallpaper installed in the Oval Diplomatic Reception Room in the White House where it can still be viewed today.
