Elizabeth “Beth” Sherwood, Fine Art Specialist / Registrar, received a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Film and Media Arts from Louisiana State University. She has worked throughout Southern Louisiana in historic homes and museums for over 15 years, most recently at the Louisiana State Museum as Registrar. While at LSM, Beth had the opportunity to become familiar with the works of Southern Regional artists while serving as interim Visual Arts Curator. She was born in New Orleans and raised in the River Parishes, with New Orleans roots that date back to a Spanish Colonial land grant. Beth is currently pursuing a Master’s in Library and Information Science through the University of Kentucky’s Distance Learning Program and is a Louisiana Association of Museums board member.
