A Federal Mahogany Mixing Table, c. 1820, Baltimore, the original King of Prussia marble top inset within a reeded gallery with open and lidded compartments, bookmatched drawer above a cupboard raised on vasiform turned tapered legs, height 31 1/2 in., width 24 in., depth 22 1/2 in.
- Notes: Note: The distinctive reeded edge gallery on this mixing table is nearly identical to that on a sideboard labeled by John Needles (wc. 1810-1852) in the collection of the Maryland Historical Society. A labeled Needles mixing table very similar to this lot sold in these rooms as lot 279, May 3, 2008 A Baltimore mahogany mixing table, also of similar form sold in these salesrooms as lot 473 on October 6 2007 Reference: Weidman and Goldsborough.
