Jacobs, N.O.'; 'Portrait of Two Young Women', hand- tinted cheeks, quarter plate in embossed paper case; 'Portrait of Young Man with Loosely Knotted Tie', quarter plate, embossed paper case; 'Mary Palfrey Williams', fine, vignetted portrait with hand- colored cheeks, ninth plate in embossed paper case; four ambrotypes of 'Portrait of Woman Holding a Book', hand-colored cheeks, jewelry enhanced with gold paint, half plate, embossed paper case with separated hinge; 'Portrait of Woman Seated in Gothic Revival Chair', thatches of gold, half plate in embossed paper case with button latch; 'Catharine Bonneau, wife of Joseph Johnson, Charleston, S.C', ninth plate, hand-colored cheeks and gold-painted brooch, embossed paper ca, separated hinge; 'Portrait of Young Girl with Pearl Necklace', ninth plate in half case; and one tintype, 'Hannah Catharine Johnson, 1803- 1876', sixth plate in half embossed paper case (11 pieces). Note: Robert Ormond Butler (1832-1874), the son of Judge Thomas Butler (1785 1847), was educated at Yale College and practiced medicine in New Orleans and in LaFourche Parish.
