A Fine Pair of Louis XVI Bronze Doré and Rouge Royale Marble Five-Light Candelabra, c. 1790, each having a standard in the form of a Classically-garbed woman holding a torchère from which emerge five delicate scroll arms with foliate decoration, the drum plinths encircled by friezes of cavorting cupids in bas relief, acanthus candlecups and antique embellishments, paper label of a French retailer on underside of one. Note: Some chips and wear to gilt surface, one loose molding, now wired for electricity. Provenance: Estate of American Diplomat, Ellswoth Bunker (1894-1984).
