A Good American Rococo Carved Rosewood Four Post Bed, c. 1850-1860, the cluster columns with quatrefoil collars and faceted bases flanking a paneled headboard with a shell form crest and scroll rail, note: lacking tester, height 97 in., width 58 in., length 71 in. E6000-8000 Note: The cluster columns and carved and paneled headboard seen in this example are typical elements found in Louisiana 'plantation' beds. A rosewood bed with similar posts was sold in these salesrooms as lot 438 on April 3, 2004.
