A Pair of American Classical Mahogany Curule Stools, c. 1825, in the manner of Duncan Phyfe, New York, each with an upholstered saddle seat and rectangular frieze, the supports with figured veneers centered by turned crotch mahogany bosses and stylized fans, rectangular stretcher, the legs with square cuffs ending in pad feet, height 16 in., width 21 3/8 in., depth 15 5/8 in.
