A Rare American Rococo Carved Rosewood and Laminated Slipper Chair, c. 1850-1860, attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, related to the pattern often referred to as "Fountain Elms", with elaborate fruit and flower crest, loop scrolled and reticulated stiles on a tall padded back, low seat, cabriole legs, casters, height 44 in.
