A Rare and Important Nok Terracotta Head, c. 200, Nigeria, the realistically modeled oval head with raised eyebrows above pierced almond shaped eyes, a full nose and a slightly opened mouth, wearing a headdress with fine "basketweave" detailing, height 7 1/2 in., accompanied by a copy of Thermoluminescence report (TL 102703), from Alliance-Science-Art, dated 1994, stating the age of the piece.
