A Rare Minton Majolica Garden Seat in the "Orientalist" Taste, impressed date stamp 1863, rectangular form with reticulated sides, two of which feature oval cartouches with dragons, the other two having stylized swastikas, the top formed as a straw and textile mat attached with buttons, the whole skillfully modeled and "Sancai" glazed in green, gold, and dark red, on scroll feet, marks include impressed "Minton" shape 186, "A" for month of potting, and others, height 18 1/2 in., length 16 in., width 13 1/2 in.
