A Very Fine Monumental American Renaissance Highly Carved Mahogany Extension Dining Table, late 19th c., the top opening to accept six leaves, incurvate molded skirt with paterae, massive blocked tapered legs ornamented with scrolled acanthus, pendant flowers, blocked and gadrooned at the base, the chamfered supporting stem concealing a turned leg, acanthus brackets adorning the plinth, height 31 in., diameter 66 in., each leaf 17 in., extended length 166 1/2 in.
