An American Aesthetic Art Pottery Vase, c. 1880, attributed to Maria Longworth Nichols, probably Rookwood Pottery, Cincinnati, blue-gray with colored slip, decoration of Japanese landscapes with fishermen at a lake and egrets on a branch, signed on outer rim with Japanese characters in vertical sequence and initialed indistinctly, height 17 124in., width 8.5in.
