An American Chippendale Carved Cherrywood Wing Chair, late 18th c., the tall arched back flanked by outswept wings, scrolled arms, rectangular seat, reduced square legs connected by stretchers. E2500- 3500 Provenance: Acquired from the family of Levi Standish (b. 1779), a descendant of Miles Standish, the head of the Mayflower colony at Plymouth.
