An American Classical Mahogany Drop-Leaf Breakfast Table, c. 1825, Boston, frieze drawer, square tapering support, incurvate plinth, carved scroll feet, inset casters, height 28 1/2 in., extended length 48 in., width 42 in., depth 20 in. Note: The scroll and lotus-carved feet on lot 485 are indicative of a Boston maker such as Isaac Vose (1767-1823). A mahogany games table by Vose and a brass inlaid side table by a Boston maker with scroll feet of this form are conserved by the St. Louis Art Museum and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts respectively.
