An American Modern Gothic Inlaid Walnut Open Bookcase, c. 1870, the crest scalloped and notched with shaped incised sides connected to a series of shelves with mortis and tenon construction, the uppermost shelf with latticework inlaid with squares and a floral carved panel at the center, raised on a molded base with drawers, height 66 in., width 54 in., depth 11.5in E1500-2500 Note: The interesting architectonic gallery and railing on this bookcase relate to several examples attributed to Daniel Pabst illustrated in the Philadelphia Bulletin, April 1977, volume 73, #316, David Hanks and Page Talbott.
