An American Renaissance Walnut and Burl Walnut Bronze-Mounted Armchair, c. 1865, attributed to Pottier and Stymus, New York, the rectangular back with bronze rosettes at the terminal of the scrolled stiles, the out-scrolled arms with bronze Egyptian heads, the seat rail with incised carving, on turned incised legs with casters, the bronze mounts stamped "PS". E1400-1800 Note: Numerous other examples of Egyptian Revival furniture which combine Renaissance and Neo-Grec styles are in various museum collections.
