An American Rococo Carved and Laminated Rosewood Side Chair, mid-19th c., attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, in the pattern known as "Fountain Elms", oval padded back surrounded by oak leaves and acorns with flowering vines, C and S scrolls surmounted by a floral crest, circular seat, scalloped floral carved seat rail, floral carved cabriole legs ending in acanthus carved toes, retaining original finish and remnants of original upholstery, height 37 1/2 in.
