Attributed to Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich, called Dietricy, ( German, 1712-1774), 'A Pair of Genre Paintings of Elderly Men', two oils on wood panel, unsigned, diameter 8 in., both inscribed 'N.800' in 18th c. calligraphy en verso, in period giltwood frames. E700-900 Provenance: Purchased with this attribution by LSU Professor Edwin A. Davis and his artist wife LaVerna Rowe Davis from F.T. Dent, London, on May 29, 1965.
