A Chinese Duan Stone Inkstone in an Inscribed and Sealed Wood Box, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), shaped body, the central ink palette flanked by a rounded upper register carved with a bird in flight above rocks and irises and a shaped lower register carved with auspicious Jixiang characters, height 7/8 in., length 9 1/4 in., width 4 1/4 in., fitted box with multiple seals and inscriptions including Qianlong yuzhi (top), Han Yan Cao Hall (center), Qianlong period made (right), Zia Chang (lower right), written by Zhang Shu Xun (left), and sealed Zhang Shu Xun (lower left), height 2 1/8 in., length 10 1/4 in., width 5 3/8 in.
