A Pair of Chinese Sancai Glazed Pottery Fish Form Roof Tiles, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), each twisting mythical fish raised on an undulating wave over an arched base, overall yellow, green and brown glaze, height 11 1/2 in. and 11 3/4 in., fitted wood stands, overall height 12 1/8 in. and 12 3/4 in., Note: one with restoration Provenance: Acquired c. 1920s-1930s; thence by descent in the family of Madelyn Cohn Cahn Conne Kiam Kreisler (b. 1890, New Orleans - d. 1975, New York).
