Provenance: McGehee Estate, Dr. Dubs House, Natchez, MS. Note: The use of cherry wood as well as the recessed panels, interior belt of drawers and distinctive beehive feet on this armoire relate closely to those found on an example from St. Landry parish (now the collection of Mary Cooper) and an armoire at Whitney Plantation, St. John the Baptist Parish.
