  • Notes: Note: A native of Barcelona, Luis Graner y Arrufi came to America in 1910 and spent winters in New Orleans from 1914 to 1922 Already internationally known and exhibited, Graner earned acclaim for his landscapes of the Louisiana countryside. He also painted portraits, genre scenes and nocturnal views of New Orleans. In the painterly work offered here, a colorful macaw sits on a branch behind a bouquet of flowers in a porcelain jardinière.
