Provenance: Gaspar Cusachs, entrepreneur, historian and collector, (1855-1929); The Gaspar Cusachs Collection, loaned to the Louisiana State Museum, New Orleans, LA (c. 1909-2016). Note: One of the "Two Well-Known Gentlemen" was Tom Anderson, saloon and bordello owner who was considered the unofficial Mayor of Storyville. An example of this rare invitation is illustrated in Henri Schindler's Mardi Gras Treasures: Invitations of the Golden Age, Gretna: Pelican Publishing Co., 2000, p. 148.
