  • Notes: Note: De Jongere studied at the Academy of Rotterdam where he began to create the marine and port scenes for which he would become famous. Though he traveled widely - to Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany - he always returned to his beloved Rotterdam and its bustling harbor.
