[PAUL CAPDEVIELLE, MAYOR OF NEW ORLEANS, 1900-1904 A group of ephemera and memorabilia pertaining to Mayor Capedevielle (1842-1922) including 2 engraved printing plates of Paul Capdevielle, 3 penknives, a Bohemian medallion, a "special police" badge, a billfold railroad passes to Bay St. Louis, a family pass to the Crescent CityJockey Club, 1902-3; an admission ticket to a banquet for W.H. Taft at the Hotel Grunewald, 12 February 1909, a French Opera membership card 1891-92, a quantity of circular "directors check" doubloons and several religious cards and notes. Sold together with a note to Mrs. Capdevielle from the den of the "High Growlers"; 9 items of Confederate money; an Opera House ticket dated 5th March 1889; Luncheon Menu for President Theodore Roosevelt, Steamship Comus, October 26th, 1905; New Orleans Board of Trade Letter and a large framed photograph of the Mayor.
