  • Notes: Note: A widely popular Texas artist, Porfirio Salinas is best remembered for his beautifully painted Texas landscapes, which showcase the beauty of the seasonal changes in the Mid-West. His art is retained in such collections as the Witte Museum in San Antonio, and that of President Lyndon B. Johnson. Johnson admired Salinas' work so greatly that he also gifted a Salinas painting to the President of Mexico.
