Description:

Tennessee Williams 1911-1983 Initial of Eros. Poem. Type script, 30 unnumbered double- spaced manuscript pages being several drafts, some with pencil revisions in Williams' hand. Four final pages, one typed Tennessee Williams, one typed Clayton, March, 1945, two just March, 1945 Apparently an unpublished poem but obviously allied perhaps an early form of with " Recuerdo" which appears in In the Winter of Cities "...But Springs first almost bloodless violets were removed..."Block one ends "...the damp initial of Eros". suggesting the poems original working title.
