Two Chinese Carved Hardstone Snuff Bottles, probably late 19th/early 20th c., one carved of mottled brown hard stone with a pair of frolicking foo-lions in high relief, the flattened body incised throughout, topped by a stone and metal stopper, height 3 in.; the other carved of mottled hard stone with blue inclusions and white striations, of flattened bulbous form, lacking stopper, height 2 1/2 in. Provenance: From the estate of American diplomat Ellsworth Bunker (1894-1984).
