Will Ousley (American-Louisiana, 1866-1953), Sun Reflection, Barnes Creek, West Lake, Louisiana, oil on canvas, signed lower right, signed, titled, dated 1935 and inscription en verso, 26 in. x 16 in., in a period frame. Accompanied by a hand-written note with the provenance. E2000-4000 Note: According to the handwritten note accompanying the painting, My mother was born and raised around Lake Charles. We would go to Lake Charles often to visit and this year, we went during the Christmas Holidays. My mother took me to Ousley to visit and I looked at his paintings. I saw this painting and I asked Mr. Ousley if he would sell it to me. I gave him the little money I had and have enjoyed this painting for almost seventy years.
