E2500/3500 Provenance: Collection of William Forsyth Family. Descended in the family to the present owner. Note: As an American Impressionist, William Forsyth believed in the importance of working directly from nature. Painting plein-aire was essential to him in terms of capturing the light and mood in the watercolor "Sunlight and Storm." The watercolor was probably painted at the turn of the century in southern Indiana along the Ohio River.
