A Louisiana Cypress Dining Table, early 19th c., overhanging plank top with beveled edge, plain skirt, square tapering legs pegged construction, retains remnants of gros rouge paint, height 29 1/2 in., width 49 1/2 in., depth 37 1/2 in.

  • Provenance: Provenance: Acquired by a New Orleans collector from Tezcuco Plantation in the early 1970s.~ Note: The pegged construction and interior taper of the legs on this table are similar to the base of a walnut side table probably from a River Road maker, found on the grounds of Bocage Plantation, Darrow, Louisiana, and sold by Neal Auction Company as lot 127 on December 8, 2007
