An American Rococo Carved Rosewood Center Table, mid-19th c., attributed to Alexander Roux, New York, inset white marble top of ovoid form with shaped blocks above each leg; conforming skirt centered by a cabochon and strapwork cartouche; carved and molded cabriole legs, reticulated "X" stretcher with lobed urn on a drum plinth, casters, height 29 in., width 44 in., depth 32 in.
- Notes: Note: The inset top, shaped leg terminals, carved apron, reticulated scroll-crested stretchers, and lobed urn on this center table are all very similar to those on a rosewood dressing table labeled by Alexander Roux in the collection of the New York State Museum.
