Note: In the painting New Orleans Dock Scene, John McCrady focused on the business of coffee importing. The horizontal multi-tiered painting shows stevedores loading and unloading sacks of coffee imported through the Port of New Orleans from South America. McCrady added sacks of coffee and a coffee plant at the lower tier to further emphasize the theme of the painting.
